Laurelbrook Academy The primary ministry of Laurelbrook Academy is the education of young people, providing a balanced program of spiritual, academic and vocational training to high school students (grades 9 through 12) with a goal of reproducing the character of God and preparing for His service. Laurelbrook is a co-educational self-supporting school, cooperating closely with the educational department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Laurelbrook Academy welcomes students in grades 9-12 regardless of race, color, or national and ethnic origin whose principles and interests are in harmony with the ideals and traditions of the school as expressed in its objectives and policies. Only those who are in agreement with the standards of Christian education and who will endeavor to live in harmony with the principles of the school should apply for admittance. Membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church is not required but it is understood that every student who is accepted thereby pledges to observe the regulations of the school. Laurelbrook Academy has a dual high school curriculum for all students - vocational training as well as academic work. Students work with their academic subjects half of the day and learn work skills in the vocational training areas the other half. Laurelbrook Academy also has a three-track academic program with a College-Prep curriculum (CP), a general high school curriculum (GHS), and a vocational curriculum. |
