Three Are Baptized David Moses, a Laurelbrook church elder, baptized three people during a baptismal service held during the late afternoon hours of December 19 at the Ogden Road Seventh-day Adventist Church (the Laurelbrook church building does not have a baptistery). The service began with a song service led by David’s wife Shymone, accompanied by Debbie Hess on the piano and Donna Kanna on the organ.
The three candidates – Kaisi and Darius Moses (both David’s sons) and Maricel de la Pena (assistant Laurelbrook girls’ dean) – gave a personal testimony and then submitted to a question and answer session about their relationship to the doctrines of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Kaisi and Darius sang a duet together, and the elders who were present gathered around the candidates and prayed for them.
David Moses then baptized the three candidates, Kaisi and Darius sang another song, and the three candidates, after prayer, were greeted at the sanctuary door by those present.
After the baptismal service, Maricel de la Pena and her wedding coordinators ran through parts of the wedding ceremony taking place on Sunday with students and staff members present.
