Alumni Weekend - Music Program
The Sabbath afternoon musical program began at 3:00 with a prayer by Donna Kanna, Laurelbrook’s music director. Then the Laurelbrook Academy Choir sang four numbers- “Create in me a clean heart, O God”, “Holy Is He”, “Faithful and Worthy”, and a hymn medley.
Argie (junior) and his brother Karl (sophomore) played four duets on their clarinets – “Great Is the Lord”, “Open the Eyes of My Heart”, “On Eagle’s Wings”, and “Change My Heart, Lord Be Glorified”. They were accompanied by Donna Kanna on the piano.
The Laurelbrook Academy Choir sang several numbers – “Here Am I, Send Me”, “I Looked to the Lamb” with David (senior) and Katie (junior) singing a duet, and “You Are My All in All with staff members Sherri Collins and Rachelle Walkowiak providing accompaniment on their flutes.
The Laurelbrook Instrumental Ensemble played four numbers – “I Need Thee Every Hour”, “Be Thou My Vision”, “Great is Thy Faithfulness”, and “In the Garden”. Then the ensemble played another number.
A Laurelbrook trio – Maureen (9th grader), Vasti (senior), and Katie (junior) – sang “Think on These Things”.
Art Kanna, Donna Kanna’s husband, had the closing prayer.
